The ISAAC table was designed in 2002 by the belgian architect Philippe Allaeys and is manufactured by e15.
Its shape is strong, sober and minimalistic. It addresses the need of a resizable table in a very smart way, showing its foldable wings as part of the design.
When the wings are folded, they provide a solid feel which disappears when it reaches the floor, as the support is set back to simulate the effect of weightlessness. Unfolding one or both wings, the legs partially spin, redefining the shape in a sculptural way.
Eventhough the mechanism is quite simple, it is placed very accurately so that in both positions, surfaces remain with zero spacing.
